After losing the first warm up match against Sri Lanka before the real T20 World Cup begins, India may have got lot of disappointment. Finally there is a win for Indian cricket team and the win has come against a very good team which is England. There were good hopes from India in the second warm up match and finally India was able to win which is mainly because of the batting by Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli.
Batting first India scored 178 runs for 4 wickets. The score which India put seem really a tough task for England. India were able to put up so many runs in the warm up match because Suresh Raina scored 54 runs and Virat Kohli scored 74 runs. It is because of both of them that India were able to score a good target which will be hard for the England cricket team to achieve in 20 overs. Again Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Sharma were not able to get a good opening partnership for India.
Chasing the target, England team got good opening but then the team kept on losing wickets at intervals. England cricket team couldn't keep up with the run rate as they kept on losing wickets. They scored 154 runs in 20 overs and lost 6 wickets while chasing the target. 20 runs is the difference which made India win this important match against England. The highest run scorer for the England team in this T20 warm up match was Moeen Ali scoring 46 runs.
This warm up match against England was crucial because players must have got disappointed after losing the match against Sri Lanka. This win against England will be a moral booster for Indian team before the real matches begin.
Out of the bowlers again the most successful bowler was R Ashwin as he gave very less runs and was able to take a wicket too. R Jadeja was able to take 2 wickets which proved to be very crucial thing in the match. Shami, Raina and B Kumar all of them were able to take 1 wicket. Amit Mishra and Varun Aaron were the Indian bowlers which proved to be little costly in this match.
After this win we will be happy to see if all the players will play confidently in all the matches of T20 World Cup. We can also hope that Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli will keep performing in the same way so that Indian team will be able to put up good score in every match.
